Credits are what you spend on anything the AI makes for you: a question answered, a unit summarised, a practice test written.
Your plan gives you a number of them each month.
Reading spends nothing
You never pay to read. Not per unit, not per course, not on any plan including the free one.
Opening a course you already have, turning pages, highlighting, going back to an old answer — none of it touches your credits.
What does spend them
| Credits | |
|---|---|
| Ask about a passage, or about what you marked | 7 |
| Ask about a unit | 15 |
| Summarise a unit | 18 |
| Ask about a whole course | 50 |
| Practice test | 25 and up, by length |
The screens where you ask for these do not quote a price on the spot. Your balance is on Account → Usage, and the full list is in What each thing costs.
How many you get
| Plan | Credits a month |
|---|---|
| Fresher | 40 |
| Scholar | 2,000 |
| Distinction | 5,000 |
| First Class | 8,000 |
40 credits is about five questions about a passage. It is meant for trying things, not for a semester.
They refill each month
Your plan's credits arrive at the start of each billing month and do not carry over. Use them or lose them.
Credits you buy as a top-up are different — those last a month, and are only spent once your plan's own credits for the month are gone. See Top up your credits.
If you run out
Buy a top-up, or wait for your next month. Reading carries on either way.
