Your home page has an Invite a friend section with your code and a link to share.
Your friend enters the code when they sign up, or during setup if they have already started.

Five friends earns you a free month on top of the credits.
When you get them
When your friend first pays for a plan. Not when they sign up, and not when they start reading.
So there is a wait, and how long depends on them. If you invite someone in October and they pay in November, that is when your credits arrive.
How long they last
Referral credits last 90 days from the day they arrive — longer than a top-up, which runs a month.
They sit behind your plan's own credits, so they are spent only once the month's allowance is gone, and they stay with you if you change plan.
The limit
You can earn on up to 20 referrals in a year. That is 6,000 credits and four free months, which is more than most students will get near.
If your friend forgot the code
They can still add it during setup, on the Were you invited by someone step. Once they are past setup it cannot be applied, so it is worth telling them to put it in at the start.
If credits have not arrived
Check that your friend has actually paid — that is what triggers it. If they have and nothing has come through, tap Chat with Idara on your home page.
